Our Agri-Tourism activity “Tarpa”, at Sawe Farm, has caught the imagination of people who need short break from their day-to-day stressful life. It also aims at exposing city folks, especially children, to the nature and rural life. Creating awareness about environment is yet another purpose behind this activity.

Every plant at ‘sawefarm’ has a story to tale! The visitors are introduced with variety of plants, farming techniques, principles of organic farming, wormiculture, bee kipping, rainwater harvesting, fish farming, plant nursery etc. Visitors are also encouraged to participate in these activities.

Our large collection of plant species has proved a treasure for students of botany and pharmacy. Here, they can see and feel the specimen plants included in their studies. Most of the plants carry nametags of their botanical family and common names.

Situated right in the midst of tribal belt of Thane district, 'Tarpa’ proves an ideal spot for camping for the students of Rural Development and Social Sciences. Students can visit near-by tribal communities; understand their culture, economy and art and reasons behind education and health care problems. With prior planning, learning Warli Painting from an Adivasi artist and witnessing famous Tarpa Folk dance is an exiting experience ‘Tarpa’ can bring to you!
